Hello everyone!
Some exciting news!
The third annual awards ceremony will be held Oct. 23 at the Getty Center in Los Angeles.
This year’s InStyle Awards will feature a star-studded lineup of honorees yet again.
Hosted by InStyle editor Laura Brown, the third annual awards ceremony will honor style icon Cate Blanchett, style star Zendaya, breakthrough style star Elle Fanning, stylist of the year Petra Flannery, designer of the year Pierpaolo Piccioli, advocate award winner Demi Lovato, makeup artist of the year Hung Vanngo and hairstylist of the year Harry Josh.
Brown shares that Blanchett is the perfect candidate for the style icon award “because she’s always resolutely herself, fearless and experimental. And we don’t use the word ‘icon’ lightly.”
Meanwhile, “Zendaya is the most electric new talent we have witnessed in years with her her eclectic, fuss-free street style and her daring red carpet choices. Her collaboration with Law Roach is truly inspiring.”“We are extraordinarily proud of the reception our event has received among our friends in the entertainment and fashion communities, yourself included,” says Brown of the annual InStyle Awards. “When we created the event three years ago we wanted to make it the most elegant tribute imaginable to our heroes of the red carpet, to honor their hard work in creating moments that inspire us all.”
The evening will also honor Valentino creative director Piccioli, who Brown says is “a dear friend of InStyle and his extraordinary work for Valentino has been worn by virtually every A-list actress in Hollywood today. He is the true heir to the throne of Valentino.”
Flannery, who was named the No. 1 most powerful stylist in 2015 by The Hollywood Reporter, will receive the stylist of the year award for “having such a moment with Emma Stone this year that we couldn’t have considered anyone else,” says Brown.
Held at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, this year’s intimate event will follow the same format as in years past, but with an earlier start time “so our guests have the chance to enjoy the sunset at such a magnificent space,” according to Brown. Last year’s celebration honored Nicole Kidman, Priyanka Chopra, Shailene Woodley, Tom Ford and more.
Don’t worry if you can’t make the private soiree — just follow the #InStyleAwards hashtag on social media to keep up with what’s happening Oct. 23.
“Personally I’m proud that at such a chic incredible event there is a real sense of friendship and sincerity,” says Brown, who’s been at the helm of InStyle since 2016. “It’s just a really good hang.”
