First Reactions on Don’t Look Up
Blanchett’s Fox News/Megyn Kelly-esque figure is sensationally humorous, and I found her to be the most impressive of the supporting women. – Clayton Davis from Variety
DON’T LOOK UP: I suspect the Academy will find this very shrimpy. Much to discuss, including Leonardo DiCaprio in a love triangle with two women over 40, Ariana Grande as Vox Lux, and a terrifyingly yassified Cate Blanchett as faux Mika Brzezinski

The whole cast is fun to watch, but Leo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep were stand-outs, and I LOVED everything Cate Blanchett gives us in this movie. Watching her and Tyler Perry as daytime talk show hosts who refuse to entertain negative stories was a highlight for me#DontLookUp pic.twitter.com/vc21MkktTi

Streep is excellent and has a great scene partner in Jonah Hill while Cate Blanchett gets to cut loose as a gossip reporter paired with the wonderful Tyler Perry. Jennifer Lawrence absolutely nails a woman screaming truth into the abyss to a world that shrugs.

Timothée Chalamet and Cate Blanchett are also both fantastically funny. Loved Nicholas Britell’s kinetic score too. #DontLookUp

ARMAGEDDON as a comedy, #DontLookUp is a scathing – and oft hilarious – commentary on social media/big tech culture, Leo, Lawrence & Rylance all slay, Adam McKay’s best overall work by far, SAG ensemble heavyweight, Netflix’s most accessibly entertaining awards film to date pic.twitter.com/LvSqw2K8Fd
