Warwick Thornton’s The New Boy will have its US premiere at Woodstock Film Festival this late September. There are two screenings for the film on 28 September and 1 October. More info here.
The soundtrack by @nickcave and @warrenellis13 (“arguably the best possible pairing to work with” @IndieWire) is an unforgettable component of THE NEW BOY, which will be screened at @TIFF_NET

The partners at Dirty Films commented, “Our hearts immediately connected to the story of Shayda. Its central theme of defining one’s own path is deeply rooted in the Australian psyche, but Noora Niasari has created art for a global audience. This is a powerful and resonant story of family that couldn’t be more timely, and we’re so proud that audiences are responding so enthusiastically as it embarks on an international journey.”
Fingernails by Christos Nikou is part of this year’s London Film Festival lineup.
All three films count Cate Blanchett as executive producer through her film production company, Dirty Film. These films are also be part of Toronto International Film Festival. Unfortunately, Cate is reported not to be of attendance because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike as studios continue to refuse to pay writers and actors fairly.
