Cate Blanchett voices Hela in the new season of the animated series, What If…? which consists of nine episodes. Marvel will drop an episode everyday on Disney+ beginning 22 December. The episode with Hela is rumored to be episode 7 and is titled What If… Hela Found the Ten Rings? which falls on 28 December. Watch the trailer below.

“What If…?” was the first-ever animated show from Marvel Studios, which saw its series debut in August 2021. The show dives into the limitless possibilities that lie in the alternate timelines of the multiverse.

Season 2 of What If…? continues the journey as The Watcher guides viewers through the vast multiverse, introducing brand new and familiar faces throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles. Featuring fan-favorite characters this season like Nebula, Hela and Happy Hogan, episodes are directed by executive producer Bryan Andrews with executive producer AC Bradley as head writer.

CanWeGetSomeToast (on X, formerly Twitter) shared the information for the episode in question, “What If… Hela found the Ten Rings?.” According to the post, the episode will see Hela be “kicked out of Asgard like in Thor: Ragnarok.” However, rather than finding herself in Hel, Hela winds up in Ta-Lo from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and is accepted by its inhabitants, also learning their martial arts. The post then mentions that Odin will invade and “war between Asgard and Ta-Lo will break out,” while also bringing up that Hela’s armor will be “all white instead of black and green.”
